Christopher Lotus is the founder of Modern Illuminism and the creator of Diamond Lotus Legacy Works, a groundbreaking fusion of sculptural blown glass, vibration, gemstones, gold, and radiant light.
As the only artist in the world who sculpts glass directly onto canvas in a term he calls "Vitrosculpture" He works with the divine to meticulously create dimensional portals of energy through his work designed to elevate spaces and transform the consciousness of those who encounter them. The paintings quite literally carry the frequencies of the divine within them.
Christopher also works with a rare gem dealer named Johnathan Bartky to collect the purest samadhi quartz crystals from the Himalaya's as well as other healing vibrational gemstones for his works of art. He uses the samadhi Quartz within the paintings to amplify the energy of the creations. His vision is to create a network grid of divine light energy upon the entire planet, using his paintings as physical nodes that connect and bring healing to the world.
His work transcends traditional painting, merging art, vibration, and light physics into one living form. The Vision
Christophers Philosophy
Art is something that moves through us. When we tap into the divine within ourselves and connect with that sacred energy, creativity manifests through our hands and onto the canvas. Everyone has the potential to be a creator. By turning your gaze inward and seeing the things within yourself that truly ignite your passion, light your fire, and bring joy and warmth to your heart, you will discover that you, too, have a unique magic to share with the world.
My magic began as a young child. I was the awkward kid in the back of the classroom who was always drawing pictures for everyone and giving them away. I drew wild visions from my imagination and created works of art that could be turned in any direction, revealing an entirely different image each time. As I grew older, I began exploring different artistic mediums and started working with resins and pigments. This was back in 2005, when very few artists were experimenting with resin in this way.
During that time, I began to discover that a sacred magic exists between myself and the Divine throughout the creative process. It was as though I would place the materials where I wanted them, but the slow movement of the pigments across the canvas would create something entirely of its own accord. That was when I realized that it wasn't just me creating the art—it was the Divine working through me and co-creating each piece alongside me.
While traveling home after unveiling a painting for clients in Scottsdale, Arizona, the vision for Diamond Lotus came to me. I envisioned creating custom works of art for beautiful homes—pieces designed to harmonize and stabilize the energy within a space. I began thinking about incorporating gemstones into the artwork, each carrying its own unique vibrational frequency and healing energy. I also imagined using sculptural glasswork to bend and channel light through the pieces in magnificent ways.
In 2017, I created my first prototype painting and immediately knew I had made something special—something the world had never seen before. It was a truly new form of artistic expression that I call Vitrosculpture: hand-sculpted glass fused to canvas to create elegant works of art unlike anything that has existed before.
As I continued my journey into the world of glass, I refined techniques and expanded my understanding of color, form, and light. My vision became to create pieces that flow across the canvas like water, weaving through the composition and creating intricate pathways of luminous energy. I knew I wanted to incorporate precious gemstones to amplify the energetic qualities already present within the work. I began embedding gemstones with specific healing properties and infusing the paintings with Himalayan quartz crystal to further magnify their energetic resonance.
Diamond Lotus paintings are not merely works of art; they are frequency-based creations designed to bring harmony and balance to a space. By flowing with the Divine, I am able to channel light through the glasswork and gemstones, creating pieces that are not only visually captivating but also elevate and enrich the energetic environment in which they reside.
My ultimate purpose is to infuse each painting with beauty, sacredness, and spirit—not simply to create something beautiful, but to create a vessel through which the vibration of the Divine can flow into the world.
